Menopur injection is used to treat infertility in women. It is a hormone-active drug that stimulates the production of eggs in the ovaries in women with ovarian failure. This medicine is extracted from the urine of postmenopausal females. The urine of a postmenopausal woman contains high levels of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), the hormone lutropin (LH) and also gonadotropins.
