Oxymetholone

This medication is an artificial male hormone (androgen or anabolic steroid) used to treat anemia (low red blood cell count) and to increase strength. Oxymetholone works by increasing the amount of the hormone (erythropoietin) that helps create red blood cells. This drug does not enhance athletic ability. When used as directed under the supervision of a doctor, the risks are low.

Oxymetholone is administrated to remedy specific kinds of anemia (lack of red blood cells), including aplastic anemia, myelofibrosis, or hypoplastic anemia caused by chemotherapy. Oxymetholone can also be used for other purposes not given here.

Oxymetholone Dose

Usual Adult Dose for Anemia: one-five mg/kg/day orally.

Standard active measure is one- two mg/kg/day. Response is frequently not direct. Give for a minimum trial of three-six months.

How should Oxymetholone be administrated?

Take this medicine by mouth as directed by your doctor. It may be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Take Oxymetholone repeatedly in order to get the most benefit from it. Take care to administrate this medicine at the same time(s) each day. Dosage is established on your age as well as a consequence to treatment. Don’t increase your dosage or administrate this more often than indicated since the danger of negative response can be high. It might take 3-6 months before a benefit from it occurs.

Warnings

This drug can rarely cause negative, occasionally life-threatening liver problems including:

• cysts,
• tumors, or
• liver failure.

Due to the risk of grave, possibly fatal liver troubles, Oxymetholone is not to be administrated to enhance sport performance or physical state.
Speak to your doctor immediately if you have:

• dark urine,
• yellowing eyes or skin,
• tireless nausea/heaving,
• stomach/abdominal pain,
• or unfamiliar exhaustion.

This product may disturb your cholesterol level as well increase your risk of heart disorder (atherosclerosis) or blood vessel problems.

Oxymetholone – Bad Reactions

Diarrhea, excitation, or problems sleeping may occur. If any of these reactions persist or increase, inform your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Talk to your doctor immediately if any of these serious negative effects occur:

• psychological/disposition changes,
• swelling of the ankles/feet,
• unusual or swift mass achievement,
• trouble breathing,
• decreased/increased interest in sex,
• new or worsening acne.

Men before puberty inform your physician instantly if any of these symptoms of maturation appear while using Oxymetholone:

• enlargement of the penis,
• more frequent erections.

Adult males – tell your physician promptly if any of these serious side effects happen:

• hair loss,
• problems urinating,
• modifications in testicle size,
• impotence,
• breast soreness/swelling.

Men – in the unlikely event you have a painful, persistent erection, stop using Oxymetholone and seek immediate medical attention or the risk of permanent damage may occur.

Females (both young girls as well as women) may have consequences of masculinization. These changes may be irreversible. Discuss the dangers as well as the benefits of this drug with your physician.

Note

It is illegal to share your Oxymetholone with other patients. A well-adjusted diet, rich in iron and folic acid, may help to improve your condition. Talk to a dietitian or your doctor. Laboratory and/or therapeutic tests (e.g., blood count, iron levels, cholesterol levels, blood/urine mineral levels, liver function tests, and prostate exam) have to be done periodically to monitor your improvement or check for side effects.

Oxymetholone – Missed dosage

In case you miss a dose, take this dose immediately as soon as you remember. In case it is near the time of the following dose, skip the missed dosage and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Oxymetholone Overdose

If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Storage

Store at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light as well as wetness. Do not keep in the bathroom. Store all preparations away from children as well as pets.
